Gimme: Asos Waisted Dress With Pleated Skirt

The vibrant colour, the pleated skirt, the high neck and unusual detailing around the arm hole.
 I love it all.
And considering its available from Asos for a mere £40, I think I might just get it.

Street Style Looks

Apologies again for my lack of blog posts recently. I have been completing an internship at a fashion agency in Dublin and have also recently suffered a family bereavement and therefore, unfortunately, the blog has had to take a back seat. However I'm back now with a small selection of street style looks which have caught my eye. The main look which seems to hold my attention at the moment is a tailored ensemble. Be it a simple structured shirt tucked into a pair of high waisted skinny jeans, or a full on tailored blazer teamed with slim fitting trousers, any outfit which incorporates subtle elements of tailoring for me just epitomises effortless elegance.

This watch/bow combo belt when combined with the brocade detailing on the coat sleeves gives this outfit a distinctly vintage edge. I adore it - accessorising at its best.

Maybe its an apt reflection of my dismay at the lack of summer that I still am rocking black clothing to the best of my ability. Black on black is sometimes viewed as a rather boring choice but can be anything but with the right mix of textures - these looks are two of my favourite.

And now to embrace this wintry weather with a splash of colourful knitwear.

P.S. Some interesting news to come..........................stay tuned.................................

Emily Quinn - 'Shooting the Talent'

Fashion photographer Emily Quinn is currently launching one of the most exciting photographic exhibitions to grace our shores for quite a while. This Dublin photographer's delightfully simple yet highly artistic fashion photography has featured in a host of publications from the Daily Mail to the Irish Independent and now she has set herself the task of photographing the inspiringly steadfast union which exists between a stylist and a photographer, one of a united vision being transformed into a stylistic artform - and she has chosen the creme de la creme of the Irish fashion scene to show it.

Featuring 15 fashion duo's in total including Irish Brides Tanya Grimson and German Collins, Stellars Corrina Gaffney and Lilly Forberg as well as Angela Scanlon and Johnny Savage, this exhibition runs from the 8th to the 10th of July in the photography studio on the 3rd floor of the Mill, Greenmont Ind. Estate, Harrold's Cross and will be well worth a visit.
