Surf Shoot for Outsider Magazine

Here are the pictures from my first solo editorial with the amazing folks at outsider magazine, Irelands premier adventure magazine. Had an absolute blast working on this shoot despite the at times rainy conditions (in Ireland - never!!) and am delighted with the results.

Natalie B. Coleman

The other day, as I was innocently checking my facebook, I came across one of the most exciting collections of clothing I have seen in a VERY long time - lets just say my reaction involved clawing the computer screen while hyperventilating.

Ok, slight exaggeration there................but only slight.

This overreaction came courtesy of the extremely talented Irish designer Natalie B. Coleman. After completing her fashion degree at the Limerick School of Art and Design she went on to do her MA course at the esteemed Central St Martains. Since then she has worked with the likes of Joanne Hynes and threeASFOUR New York and has one certain fan in none other then pop princess turned designer (how original) Lilly Allen.

Her AW 11/12 collection entitled 'All The Jewellery I Never Got' is the one that caught my eye. This collection, while being the definition of fashion forward and eclectic in equal measures, still manages to remain distinctly wearable. I could clearly imagine each outfit being comfortably worn by some randomer on the streets of Dublin - in particular if that randomer were me.

The shoot itself is styled by the ridiculously talented Aisling Farinella and showcases a marvellous mix of bright colours, unusual and distinctive cuts as well as sheer skirts, while the jewellery theme is maintained throughout in the form of prints and slogans. From velvet bicycle shorts to draped white satain shirts, this collection offers the buyer peice after statement peice and never fails to wow.

Coming soon to style-tonic, these peices are bound to sell out fast so keep checking the site for updates while ensuring that your credit card is in easy reach at all times.
